Interpretation:
The number of moles of sucrose present in the given solution and the total mass of the solution is to be calculated.
Concept Introduction:
Molality is defined as the number of moles of solute present in one kg of the solvent.
The temperature at which the vapor pressure of a liquid is equal to the external atmospheric pressure is called the boiling point.
The addition of solute molecules reduces the vapor pressure of a solvent. So the temperature must be increased further to convert more solvent molecules into the gaseous phase. Hence, the boiling point is elevated.
