Introduction:

Diseases which are caused due to various deformities in genes are known as genetic disorders. Advancing DNA technology can help in preventing, detecting and treating genetic disorders. Faulty genes are detected even in an embryo using Preimplantation genetic diagnosis or can be detected in newborns, adults, or fetus using genetic testing. Gene therapy can be used to correct or support the faults detected in genetic testing for leading a normal healthy life.
