The msucles involved in the movement of the arm at the shoulder joint arise from the shoulder girdle. The rotator cuff muscle is a group of four muscles responsible for the movement of the shoulders as well as the arms. These muscles hold the upper arm (humerus) in the right position. The humerus is attached to the scapula.
