They kill cancer-causing cells by acting on their metabolic pathways or by interfering with the cancer cell DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). Paclitaxel is an anticancer drug that is available under the brand name of taxol. It is used to treat various cancers such as cervical cancer, lung cancer, as well as ovarian cancer.
