Introduction:
The peripheral nervous system (PNS) has two branches called somatic and visceral nervous system. The body regions that are regulated by the somatic branch are located outside the ventral body cavity, whereas the visceral branch controls the body structures located in the viscera that is present inside the ventral body cavity.
