Introduction:
The substances across the axon of a nerve cell (neuron) are transported in two ways. These are called anterograde and retrograde. The former involves the transport of molecules and other substances from the cell body (of a nerve cell) to its axons. On the other hand, the latter is associated with the transport of substances from the axon of one to the cell body of the subsequent neuron.
