Explanation of Solution

Introduction:

The retina is the innermost part of the eye, which is light sensitive. The light rays coming from the object after refracting from the lens of the eye, focus on the retina.

The light rays reaching at the retina depend upon the intensity of reflected rays coming from the object.

On placing an object closer to the observer, there would be maximum reflected rays reaching to the retina, due to which fine and detailed information of the object can be seen.

When an observer moves far away from the object, there would be minimum reflected rays reaching to the retina, due to which object become dimmer and less detailed

Conclusion:

Therefore, on moving away from the object, there are very few reflecting rays reaching to the retina. Due to which object becomes less detailed and dimmer
