Explanation of Solution
Given information:
The distance of object is less than one focal length.
When the object moves towards the concave mirror inside the focal point, virtual and upright image is formed behind the mirror.
Initially it is larger than the object, but when object gets closer or in other word an object is less than one focal length from a concave mirror, image decreases in size.
The produced image will be smaller, virtual and upright behind the mirror.
Conclusion:
Hence, the size of images gets smaller than object.
