These are used by the food manufactures to maintain the quality and safety standards of the foods. These food additives are of two types namely intentional additives and unintentional additives. The intentional food additives are introduced intentionally into the food to enhance the sensory quality, stability, and for quality maintenance during food handling and retailing.
