Introduction:
Ecology is the study of interaction of organisms with one another and with the environment. Ecology involves the study of both biotic as well as abiotic components. Biotic components are those that are living like animals, plants etc, and abiotic components are the non-living components like soil, air, water etc.
Explanation of Solution
In the living world, every process takes place through a mechanism which it uses to achieve the result of the process.
Evolution is also a mechanism whereby there is a slow and steady change in the charcateristics of an organism that allows it to adapt well with the environment.
A mechanism is used to achieve a desired result of a process.
