To explain:  How different cells respond in different ways to the same signaling molecules even when they have identical receptors.

Introduction:

The cellular response to an extracellular molecule depends on its binding to the specific receptor protein in the target cell. Different cells may have different receptors which bind to the same ligand. Same receptors may bind to same ligands in different cell types and might produce different cellular responses.
