Explanation of Solution
Five Component Model:
The five component model includes:
Hardware:
In a computer system, the machinery used to input data and output information are called hardware. These are often called input-output devices. Examples include CPU, Monitor, Keyboard and other system parts.
Software:
These are the manuals or procedures or a set o instructions that system follows in order to complete a task.
Data:
Data are facts or figures which are recorded and knowledge derived from certain information.
Procedures:
In order to govern the operations of a computer system, there are certain policies which are called procedures.
People:
The most underrated component of a system is people. People influence the success or failure of the Information Systems.
Symmetry in the five component model:
Data acts as a bridge between hardware and people. When people are involved, the raw collected data becomes information.
Automation:
Automation is the use of machines or
- Automation moves work from one side of the five component structure to another in automation, machines does all the work faster and more effectively as compared to people. So the people component is not used in the five component system.
