When equilibrium is attained, there exists an expression of concentration of the substances involved in equilibrium which becomes constant at a given temperature.

Explanation of Solution

Equilibrium is the state at which the concentrations of reactants and products do not change with time.

At equilibrium , both the forward and the backward reactions are still taking place but the rates of forward and the backward reactions becomes equal. As a result, the concentration of each species becomes constant. Te system is said to be in a dynamic equilibrium.

Rate of forward reaction = rate of backward reaction

Conclusion

When equilibrium is attained, there exists an expression of concentration of the substances involved in equilibrium which becomes constant at a given temperature.
