The diameter of the sphere that act as a convex mirror, D=40cm

The height of the R, ho=12cm

The distance of the R from the sphere, do=1.5m = 150cm

Formula used:

The relation between the radius of curvature of mirror (R) and its focal length (f) is,

  f=R2

Mirror equation,

  1f=1di+1do

Where,

  f=focal lengthdi= image distancedo=object distance

And,

Magnification, hiho=dido

Where,

  hi=image heightho=object height

Calculation:

The radius of the sphere will be,

  R=D2=40cm2=20cm

Then, the focal length of the convex mirror will be,

  f=R2=20cm2=10cm

Using the given values in Mirror equation, the image distance will be,

  1f=1di+1do110=1di+1150di=150×1015010=10.71cm

Then, the image height will be,

  hiho=didohi12=10.71150hi=0.85cm

Negative sign denotes inverted image.

Conclusion:
