Chapter 18.2, Problem 9AYP
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The effect of increased ADH levels on urine volume, blood osmolarity, and blood volume.
Introduction:
The hypothalamic hormone ADH (anti-diuretic hormone) acts on the kidney and blood vessels and regulates the collecting duct permeability to water. It helps to prevent loss of water from the body by reducing urine output and assist the kidneys in reabsorbing water.
