Prothrombin is the inactivated form of thrombin and both of these are enzymes that are involved in the clotting process of the blood. In the clotting process, the vessels gets constricted as soon as the injury is observed, the platelets reach the site of action forms a stop that reduces the blood flow, then the blood coagulates and forms the fibrin clot.
