Tuberculosis is a bacterial infection associated with lungs, but it can also spread to other organs. Mycobacterium tuberculosis (a bacterium) is its main causative agent. Tuberculosis infections that do not show any symptoms are referred as latent tuberculosis. It is an air borne infection.
