Chapter 19, Problem 6RQ
Summary Introduction
To review:
The reason that species designations of asexually reproducing organism differ among systematists than species designations of a sexually reproducing organism.
Introduction:
Biological species concept defines species in terms of interbreeding, that is, a species is a group of individuals or a particular population, which interbreed among themselves. They cannot breed with other populations. Sexually reproducing organism mate with individuals of their own species and the biological species concept applies only to sexually reproducing organism.
