Introduction:

“Electrical charge” is a basic characteristic of matter. Electrical charge is of two types: positive and negative. Both electron and proton contain an electrical charge of same size. Proton contains positive electrical charge while electron contains negative electrical charge. Ions are “electrically charged atom” or their group arises through the gain or loss of electrons. Positive ions are termed as “cation” while negative ions are termed as “anion”.
