The differentiation between irreversible and reversible enzyme inhibition is to be stated.
Concept introduction:
An enzyme inhibitor is defined as a molecule that interferes with the normal reaction pathway of an enzyme-substrate reaction. It lowers the enzyme-catalyzed reaction rate. The formation of an enzyme-substrate complex is not permitted by enzyme inhibitors and thus prevents product formation.
