Concept introduction:
Prevotella is the Gram negative, anaerobic bacillus which is bile-sensitive. It inhabits the respiratory and urinary tracts of humans and combines with other bacteria to cause oral, ear and sinus infections. Bacteroides is the Gram negative, anaerobic bacterium, which contain a number of virulence factors that makes it a pathogen. They cause infections of wounds, female genitalia, and abdomen.
