Interpret the structure of dipeptide forms by alanine and serine.

Concept Introduction:

Protein is a long chain of polypeptide in which numbers of amino acids are linked to each other to produce a structure known as protein.

Each amino acid consists of carboxyl end and amino group which are joined through peptide linkage to produce dipeptide, tripeptide and polypeptide according to number of amino acids linked to each other.


Primary structure of protein consists of long chain of amino acid linked to each other through peptide bond.

Serine and alanine are the amino acid consist of amino and carboxyl group. Amino group of one amino acid linked to carboxyl group of second amino acid and linear chain is created to produce primary structure of protein.
