Explanation of Solution

Introduction:

To form a solution, two main components are-

1. Solute
2. Solvent

Consider a sugar solution.Sugar is solute and water is solvent. Solute particles make spaces in between the particles of solvent and attached with them via intermolecular forces of attraction.

Conclusion:

Solute particles are attracted by solvent particles to make a solution. Solid (sugar) is dissolves in liquid (water) when bond between solvent particles is break down.
