Introduction:

Dental caries, which is also called tooth decay, serve as most common infectious disease of human being. It involves dissolution of solid tooth surface called enamel because of the metabolic actions of the bacteria. It is caused by two types of bacteria Streptococcus mutans and Streptococcus sorbins. While some other species of Streptococcus and lactobacilli also causes dental carries. Early childhood caries are caused by Scardovia wiggsiae.
