Introduction:
Lyme disease is caused by Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria and is transmitted to humans due to the bite of infected blacklegged ticks. Lyme disease is slow-acting, but it often evolves progressive syndrome that is similar to neuromuscular and rheumatoid conditions. Typical symptoms include a headache, fever, fatigue, and a skin rash called erythema migrans.
