Introduction:
The self-recognition together with the self-tolerance is the basic traits that a T cell (the cell that matures in the thymus) must have. The T cells should have the ability to recognize the MHC (major histocompatibility complex) proteins of an individual by a process called self-recognition and the reactivity to the peptide fragments from one’s own protein must be absent, this condition is called self-tolerance.
