Sporotrichosis is a chronic fungal infection in which ulcers and nodules develop on the skin, normally in the arms and legs. It is caused by the a fungus called Sporothrix schenkii. An Individual can be affected by the this infection by coming in contact with the fungal spores. It enters into the body through a wound or scrap.
