Corals are mounds or branches that are made of thousands of animals that is tiny in size known as polyps. These mounds are alive, but these structures are not able to make their own food. Therefore, these corals are found in association with Dino flagellates or algae. For example, Symbiodinium. Coral bleaching is the loss of symbionts from the host tissues, resulting in color loss. Coral will appear white in color.
