Introduction:
Chlamydia is a Gram-negative, non-spore forming bacteria. They are small obligate parasitic bacteria that live inside the endosome of the host cell. Some species of Chlamydia are transmitted through sexual intercourse. For example, Chlamydia trachomatis cause lymphogranuloma venereum disease, which is transmitted from infected individual to healthy during intercourse.
