HPV stands for human papillomavirus that leads to human papillomavirus infection. The infection results in precancerous lesion or warts. This symptom increases the chances of cancer of mouth, cervix, penis, vulva, throat, vagina or anus. The typical spread of the virus is from skin-to-skin contact, during sexual mating, by smoking or with the poor immune system.
