Introduction:

Cell cycle is the series of stages that allow cell to pass from one cell division to another. They actively pass through ${\text{G}}_{\text{1}}$, S, and ${\text{G}}_{\text{2}}$ phases and then move directly to M phase. Nondividing cells pass from ${\text{G}}_{\text{1}}$ to ${\text{G}}_{\text{0}}$, which is a resting phase characterized by inactive or non dividing stage.
