The gut microbial community of an individual constitutes all the microorganisms present in the gut (stomach and intestine). The gut microbiome of a person changes upto an age of three. When the person is below the age of three, the gut community consists mainly of simple microorganisms, but after this age, the individual grows and develops and fixed adult like composition take place and it remains stable for the lifetime.
