To explain: The reason why a cell contains more copies of rRNA genes than the ribosomal protein genes.
Introduction: In eukaryotes, ribosomes have two subunits that move together around the mRNA to synthesize the proteins. Ribosomes form in the nucleus of the cell, where rRNA is transcribed from DNA. This is processed and incorporated with proteins and form ribosomes. Around 80 ribosomal proteins contribute to the shape and structure of a ribosome.
