Summary Introduction

To determine:

The impact of drinking half-gallon of distilled water on the ADH levels.

Introduction:

The body is filled with fluids and 60 % of body is water. Fluids are the components through which various metabolic activities are carried out in the body. The regulation of the concentration of these fluids is achieved by three very essential hormones namely antidiuretic hormone, aldosterone and natriuretic peptides. ADH hormone stimulates the kidney to store water. It is released in accordance to the osmotic concentration. The greater the osmotic concentration the more ADH is released.
