Summary Introduction

To explain:

The term environmental resistance and also distinguish between the density independent and density dependent forms of environmental resistance. And also describe three example of each.

Introduction:

Growth curve represents the population growth with each period of time. Growth curve can be demonstrated by two types of growth curve: J shaped growth curves and sigmoid growth curve. The J shaped growth curves represent the unrestricted or exponential population growth while sigmoid growth curve represents the slow or restricted growth of population. The optimum carrying capacity can be defined as the capacity of an environment to support the biological species up to a level of availability of sustainable resources.
