Concept Introduction:
Immune response is the defensive mechanism which depends on the recognition of specific antigens such as viruses, bacteria, toxic substances and infected cells which is either cell mediated or antibody-mediated.
Antibody: It is a Y-shaped protein released by the immune system and it is also known as immunoglobulins. The immune system will create antibodies if it found any antigen and destroy them. Thus antibodies are produced for the defence action and imparting immunity.
