The body contains a well-defined system to protect itself from infections and harmful agents. This system is known as the immune system. Any infection or injury generates a response in the body. The immune system has the ability to store and retrieve the responses about past pathogens and infections. The immune system generates three types of response to destroy the invading pathogens. These three immune responses are “innate response; primary response and the secondary response”.
