  • To find the number of seconds per instruction, divide one second by five.

Numberofsecondspercharacter=15=0.2seconds/character

  • To represent the above result in time slice, convert seconds into milliseconds by multiplying the result by 1,000.

=0.2secondspercharacter×1,000= 200 milliseconds/character

Therefore, the time that would pass between typing each character is 200 milliseconds/character
