Explanation of Solution
A very small group of elements that are different from metals and non-metals termed as metalloids. These elements are placed between boron and aluminum to the border between polonium and astatine. Metalloids are used as semiconductors. The reactivity of metalloids is dependent on the properties of reacting elements.
A smaller group of elements that are placed between metals and non-metals are known as metalloids. They have some properties related to the non-metals and some related to metals.
