Summary Introduction
If sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) such as gonorrhea and syphilis left untreated that may lead to highly complicated health problems in both men and women. Gonorrhea may cause pelvic inflammatory disease in women if untreated and it may spread to the circulatory system and cause disseminated gonococcal infection.
Untreated syphilis may affect the brain, heart, eyes, joints, nerves, liver, bone, and even may lead to death.
