Concept introduction:
The complex composition of rRNA (ribosomal RNA) and protein molecules is termed as the ribosomes. It acts as a factory for the process of protein synthesis. They are mostly found attached to the endoplasmic reticulum, and some ribosomes are found to suspend freely in the cytoplasm of the cell.
