Introduction: Most of the cell wall of the fungi is made up of chitin. Chitin is made up of polysaccharides. Chitins are chains of modified glucose that strengthens tabular cell walls of the fungi. Chitin is closely related to cellulose that is found in the cell walls of the plants. Both chitin and cellulose are derivatives of the glucose monomers.
