Introduction:
Mollusca is the second largest phylum of animal kingdom. They are soft-bodied, unsegmented animals covered with shell. Body is covered with head, a transparent skin covering body wall called mantle, and ventral foot. Mouth cavity consists of radula for rasping. Mantle secrets a calcareous external shell, which is the characteristic of this phylum. Some species may have internal shell as well. Respiration takes place through lungs or gills.
