Question
Chapter 4, Problem 23E
Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation:
The record in an experiment of a student is to be interpreted.
Concept introduction:
According to Charles’ law, the volume of a fixed amount of a gas is directly proportional to its temperature at a constant pressure. As temperature increases, volume of the gas also increases. When a graph between volume (on Y-axis) is plotted against temperature ( on X-axis), a straight line is obtained. The plot has an intercept on the Y-axis. When the plot is extrapolated to zero volume, the plot intersects the temperature axis at -273 0C.
