Chapter 4, Problem 5E
Convert the following code so that it uses nested while statements instead of for statements:
int s = 0;
int t = 1;
for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++)
{
s = s + i;
for (int j = i; j > 0; j--)
{
t = t * (j - i);
}
s = s * t;
System.out.println(“T is” + t);
}
System.out.println(“S is” + s);

public static void main(String[] args) {
/ This is a comment
int z = 3.5;
System.out.println("z is + z");
int s2 = "Michael";
System.out.println("s2 has the value " s2);
}
}
Please show the mistakes clearly and how the change is made.
Hi,
Im trying complete my lab for my programming class and im getting and error i cannot disifer.
The purpose of this code is to simulate a coin flip and you can determine how many times you want the coin to be filped.
import randomdef heads_or_tails(n): for n in range(n): if random.randint(0,1) == 1: print("tails") else: print ("heads") if __name__=="__main__": random.seed(1) number_of_flips = int(input()) heads_or_tails(number_of_flips)
i get this error when submitting
TypeError: heads_or_tails() missing 1 required positional argument: 'n'
Can someone help me answer this in Coral programming language?
1) The year must be divisible by 4
2) If the year is a century year (1700, 1800, etc.), the year must be evenly divisible by 400
Some example leap years are 1600, 1712, and 2016.
Write a program that takes in a year and determines whether that year is a leap year.
Ex: If the input is:
1712
the output is:
1712 is a leap year.
Ex: If the input is:
1913
the output is:
1913 is not a leap year.

Introduction: The equation of a straight line is written as y = mx + b where m is the slope of the line and b is the value of y when x = 0. If there are two coordinate points of the line are given, then it is very easy to compute the line equation. Also you can find the distance between two points. Problem: Write a program to compute lines equation for a set of lines. The number of lines is read from the user. Each line is computed by generating two points randomly using Point2D API. In addition, distance between two points is computed. The program should display a table which include all information about each line. See sample runs below. Take into consideration: 1. Number of generated lines should be greater than zero. 2. Two point objects are constructed only once. Then just update the location of two points for each line using Point2D API methods. 3. x and y values of each point are generated randomly to be less than 100 and greater than 0. 4. - Please answer it in python https://www.codingame.com/ide/puzzle/horse-racing-hyperduals Casablanca’s hippodrome has grown tired of old-fashioned dual racing and has kicked it up a notch: they will now be organizing hyperduals.During a hyperdual, only two horses will participate in the race. In order for the race to be interesting, it is necessary to try to select two horses with similar strength.Write a program which, using a given number of strengths, identifies the two closest strengths and shows their difference with an integer.In a hyperdual, a horse's strength is a bidimensional (Velocity,Elegance) vector. The distance between two strengths (V1,E1) and (V2,E2) is abs(V2-V1)+abs(E2-E1).(This is a harder version of training puzzle “Horse-racing duals”. - Problem specification: There is a grid of NXN squares. We can easily determines how many different rectangles (squares are excluded) there are in the grid. For example, in a 3X3 grid, you can find 22 different rectangles, marked as the green rectangles. You can see that we did not count the red ones as they are squares. In this assignment, you will write a Java program that takes the value of N as input and determines the total area of all the rectangles in the grid. Assume that the smallest squares in the grid have length 1. So a 3X2 rectangle will have an area of 6. For example, the total area of all the rectangles in the 3X3 grid is 66.…arrow_forwardIn JAVA ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION: A half-life is the amount of time it takes for a substance or entity to fall to half its original value.
