Write a
where weight is measured in pounds and height is measured in inches. The program should display a message indicating whether the person has optimal weight, is underweight, or is overweight. A person’s weight is considered to be optimal if his or her BMI is between 18.5 and 25. If the BMI is less than 18.5, the person is considered to be underweight, the BMI value is greater than 25, the person is considered to be overweight.

- Ron bought several acres of farm to grow and sell vegetables. Suppose that Ron wants to grow a maximum of two types of vegetables. Write a program that prompts Ron or the user to do the following: Enter the total farm area in acres. The number of vegetables (one or two) that the user wants to grow. If the user wants to grow trwo types of vegetables, then specify the portion,as a percentage, of the farm land used for each type of vegetable. Enter the seed cost, plantation cose, fertilizing cost, labor cost, for each acre. Enter vegetable selling price per acre. Output the total revenue. Output the profit/loss.arrow_forward17. Math Tutor Write a program that can be used as a math tutor for a young student. The program should display two random numbers to be added, such as 247 +129 The program should then pause while the student works on the problem. When the student is ready to check the answer, he or she can press a key and the program will display the correct solution: 247 +129 376arrow_forwardCircle Properties Write a program that prompts for and accepts the diameter of a circle as a floating point number. The program should calculate and output the area and circumference of the circle. A sample run of the program should look like this: Enter circle diameter: 2.5 The area is 4.91 and the circumference is 7.85. - Transcribed Image Text Write a program that asks for the principal, the annual interest rate, and the number of times the interest is compounded. It should display a report similar to the following: Interest Rate: 4.25% Times Compounded: 12 Principal: $ 1000.00 Interest: 43.33 Final balance: $ 1043.33arrow_forwarduse C++ programming language Write a program that computes and displays the charges for a patient’s hospital stay. First, the program should ask if the patient was admitted as an inpatient or an outpatient. If the patient was an inpatient, the following data should be entered: The number of days spent in the hospital The daily rate Charges for hospital services (lab tests, etc.) Hospital medication charges If the patient was an outpatient, the following data should be entered: Charges for hospital services (lab tests, etc.) Hospital medication charges Use a single, separate function to validate that no input is less than zero. If it is, it should be reentered before being returned. Once the required data has been input and validated, the program should use two overloaded functions to calculate the total charges. One of the functions should accept arguments for the inpatient data, while the other function accepts arguments for outpatient data. Both functions should return the…arrow_forwardBox Office: A movie theater only keeps a percentage (20%) of the revenue earned from ticket sales. The remainder goes to the movie distributor. Write a program that calculates a theater’s gross and net box office profit for a night. The program should ask for the name of the movie, and how many adult and child tickets were sold. (The price of an adult ticket is $10.00 and a child’s ticket is $6.00.) Input: the name of the movie, number of adult tickets sold, number of child tickets sold Output: as specified below Object: cin, cout, getline, format output Note: 1. Movie names contain spaces 2, the report is aligned. 3. The decimal number is displayed with 2 decimal places.arrow_forward
- 1. Lulu Hypermarket wants you to create a program that they can use to compute for the discounts to be given to Lulu card holders. The program should read the user to enter the name of the customer and the number of purchases. The number of purchases will serve as the counter for the number of times purchase amount will be entered by the user. The program should be able to count the number of purchase amounts in each of the following ranges: • 1 to 30 • Above 30 The program should also compute the sum of all the purchase amounts. A discount is computed based on the sum of the purchase amount. If the sum of the purchase is more than 500, the discount is 2.5% of the sum; otherwise, the discount is 5% of the sum. Display an appropriate output. If the user’s guess is higher than the random number, the program should display “Too high, try again.” If the user’s guess is lower than the random number, the program should display “Too low, try again.” If the user guesses the number, the application should congratulate the user and then generate a new random number so the game can start over. Optional Enhancement: Enhance the game so it keeps count of the number of guesses that the user makes. When the user correctly guesses the random number, the program should display the number of guesses.arrow_forwardComputer Fundamentals and Programming 2 Write a program that determines a student’s grade. The program will accept 3 scores and computes the average score. Determine the grade based on the following rules: - If the average score is equal or greater than 90, the grade is A. - If the average score is greater than or equal to 70 and less than 90, the grade is B. - If the average score is greater than or equal to 50 and less than 70, the grade is C. - If the average score is less than 50, the grade is F. - PYTHON programming solotion Develop a program that allows the user to enter a start value of 1 to 4, a stop value of 5 to 12 and a multiplier of 2 to 8. The program must display a multiplication table with results using these values. For example, if the user enters a start value of 3, a stop value of 7 and a multiplier value of 3, the table should be displayed as follows: Multiplication Table 3 x 3 = 9 3 x 4 = 12 3 x 5 = 15 3 x 6 = 18 3 x 7 = 21 additionally Each multiplication problem must be displayed with a problem number. The program must prompt the user to enter an answer to each of the multiplication problems. The correct answer should be displayed after the user enters an answer. A message should be displayed informing the user that the answer entered was correct or incorrect followed by an appropriate motivating comment. A running record of the number of correct and incorrect responses must be kept. After all the problems have been presented the user must be informed of…arrow_forwardAnswer this question Write a program that calculates and displays a person’s body mass index (BMI). The BMI is often used to determine whether a person with a sedentary lifestyle is overweight or underweight for his or her height. A person’s BMI is calculated with the following formula:BMI = weight × 703 / height2where weight is measured in pounds and height is measured in inches. The program should display a message indicating whether the person has optimal weight, is underweight, or is overweight. A sedentary person’s weight is considered to be optimal if his or her BMI is between 18.5 and 25. If the BMI is less than 18.5, the person is considered to be underweight. If the BMI value is greater than 25, the person is considered to be overweightarrow_forwardMETHODOLOGY A bookstore owner wants you to write a program that calculates the gross pay of an employee. The input to the program is the number of hours the employee works in one week and the employee’s hourly pay rate. The program is to calculate the employee’s gross pay including the possibility of overtime pay. Regular pay is the number of hours the employee worked (up to 40 hours) times the hourly rate. The program is to compute an overtime pay if the employee worked more than 40 hours. All hours beyond 40 should be multiplied to 1.5 for the OT differential pay The program should output the worker’s regular pay, overtime time, and the gross pay (sum of the regular pay and overtime pay).
