Introduction:
The integumentary system is composed of skin along with its appendages, namely hair, sebaceous glands, sweat glands, and the nails. The epidermis is constituted of keratinized stratified squamous epithelium. The major cells present in the epidermis are keratinocytes. Skin glands and hair follicles can be found in the dermis.
