The skin is the outermost layer of the body and inner parts of the body. The skin provides protection from external environment conditions such as they protect from the ultraviolet radiation. The skin is classified into three layers that is epidermis, dermis, and the subcutaneous layer. The epidermis is the external layer of the skin and it is further classified into the stratum corneum, stratum lucidum, stratum granulosum, stratum spinosum, and stratum basale.
