Question
Chapter 5, Problem 5.23P
Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation:
The difference between the emission spectrum from the triphosphor in the fluorescent bulb and a white light source such as the sun or an incandescent bulb has to be written. The reason for the appearance of fluorescent bulb as white light to our eyes is also to be given.
Concept introduction:
- Incandescent bulbs and fluorescent bulbs are the two most common are the two most common type of lighting in today’s life.
- Incandescent light is a constant light (i.e. it does not vary with time) produced from heat. Fluorescent light is a varying light produced by flowing electricity through a tube filled with ionized gas which excites the gas and causes it to glow.
