Introduction: The blastula divides to convert into a solid ball of cells called the gastrula, this stage forms the three germ layers called the mesoderm, endoderm, and ectoderm. This process is called gastrulation. The neural tube forms from ectodermal cells and is therefore called neurulation. It further divides to form parts of the nervous system.
